11.2 Prepare laundry
WARNING
EXPLOSION AND FIRE RISK!
• Remove lighters and matches from the pockets of the textiles.
• The appliance drum and textiles may be damaged. Remove all items from the
pockets of the textiles and observe the following:
• Tie fabric belts, apron strings etc. together or use a laundry bag.
• Close zips, hooks and eyelets and button up covers.
• Sort the laundry according to fabric type and drying programme for an even
drying result.
• Remove metal parts, such as paper clips, from the textiles.
• Knitted textiles, such as T-shirts and jerseys, often shrink when they first dry. Use
a gentle programme.
• Do not overdry easy-care laundry. This leads to increased creasing in the laundry.
• To ensure even drying, do not overload the appliance and observe the specified
load quantities. Mix large parts with smaller parts.
• Do not overdry the laundry. It becomes hard and could become statically charged.
• Use a fabric softener in the final rinse programme of the washing machine to
prevent the build-up of static electricity in the appliance.
• Dry delicate textiles in a pillowcase.
