Wash
Machine wash. The digit indicates the highest possible washing temperature.
Machine wash. The bar under the container means gentle spin.
Machine wash. Interrupted bar (sometimes also double bar):
Particularly gentle washing - delicate wash cycle or wool wash cycle only (at 30
degrees, other temperatures accordingly)
Hand wash. (cold or lukewarm, max. 40 °C, better 30 °C)
Cold wash
(No symbol according to ISO 3758; however, it is often used)
Do not wash (this usually means: clean) - sometimes the St. Andrew's cross is
replaced by an x or xx.

Do not wring, this symbol is not common in Europe, but is mainly used in Japan.
Bleaching
Bleaching with chlorine is no longer common. If bleaching is explicitly prohibited, however, stain
salts and bleaching stain removers should also be used with caution.
