12 Assembly and installation
Unpacking the appliance
The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no
account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power supply. In case of damage,
contact the supplier.
WARNING
RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
Packaging materials (e.g. plastic film, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. Keep packaging
materials out of the reach of children!
Removing transport protection
The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport. Remove all adhesive tapes
and transport screws.
ATTENTION
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
There is a risk that the washing machine will fall off the base
during spinning. When setting up on an existing plinth
(concrete plinth or brick plinth), secure the Washingmachine
with clamping straps.
1. Remove the wedges from the lid and the drum
opening.
2. Carefully open the drum and close it again.
3. Lift the washing machine and remove the plinth.
4. lift the washing machine and remove the
packaging material from the underside.
5. Ensure that the small, triangular piece of
polystyrene is removed together with the
packaging material on the underside. If this is not
possible, place the appliance with the side panel on
the floor and remove the small, triangular piece of
polystyrene from the underside by hand.
6. Remove the transport screws (a) Fig. 1
7. Loosen the retaining brackets (b) and remove the retaining bracket with the
transport screws Fig. 1. Fig 2 Illustration without transport screws and retaining
bracket.
8. Remove the transport screws from the retaining bracket.
9. Secure the retaining brackets (b) with the screws.
10. Close the openings with the cover caps ( c ) Fig. 3
