12 Putting into operation
Always switch on the extractor hood at the start of cooking and allow it to run for a few
minutes longer after the end of cooking. This removes cooking fumes most effectively.

Always ensure adequate ventilation in the room when the extractor hood is in operation
at the same time as gas cookers or other fluid-fired appliances.
• Operation is not permitted above a coal or wood-fired fireplace.
• Do not flambé food under the extractor hood.
• Do not open the gas supply to gas hobs as long as there is no cookware on the
hob.
• Always operate the extractor hood with a grease filter. Fats or oils can easily catch
fire if they are overheated. Therefore always supervise the food while cooking.
• Clean or replace the filter at regular intervals.
Switching on the extractor hood
1. Plug the mains plug into the plug socket.
A signal sounds.
The corresponding symbols light up.
2. Switch on the appliance with the 【ON/OFF】 button (9).
The fan starts at level 1.
3. Set the desired fan speed in stages using the 【POWER REGULATOR】 (7)
(adjustable up to speed 9).
The 【POWER REGULATOR】(7) displays the current power level.
To switch off the fan, press the 【POWER REGULATOR】button (7).
4. To set a timer, press the【TIMER】(5) button.
A timer of 5 minutes is set. The appliance switches off after 5 min.
To deactivate the set timer, press the【TIMER】(5) button.
5. To switch off the fan, press the【POWER LEVEL】(8) button.
6. To switch off the appliance, press the 【ON/OFF】 button (9).
Operating the extractor hood via gestures
1. To turn on the extractor hood, wave your hand from left to right once.
The cooker hood will turn on and operate at the first speed. The lamp and the
indicator lights for the power button, lamp button, speed button, and the first
panel of the slide control will light up. Each additional wave will increase the
hood's speed by one, up to a maximum of speed 9. When the cooker hood is
at the 9th speed, waving your hand from left to right again will not change the
speed, and it will remain at speed 9.
2. To decrease the speed level, wave your hand from right to left once.
The cooker hood will decrease by one speed level. When the speed decreases to
zero, the indicator light will turn off, all functions of the cooker hood will stop, and
it will enter stand-by mode.
3. If there is no activity for 10 minutes, the gesture sensor mode will enter sleep
mode. Press any button to restart the gesture sensor mode.
