11 Putting into operation
Clean the appliance and the interior parts thoroughly before putting into operation
(see chapter 8).
11.1 Switch appliance ON/OFF
• Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
• Check that the mains plug is firmly seated. Electrical connection, see type plate.
The appliance is ready for operation.
ATTENTION
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
Do not switch on the appliance immediately after a power interruption. Possible overload
of the compressor or fuse blows.
Switching off the appliance
1. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
2. The appliance is switched off and no longer cools.
Temperature
• The temperature depends on certain factors, such as the place of installation, how
often the appliance door is opened and closed or how the appliance is loaded.
• With very high summer temperatures, set the temperature regulator to a higher
level to maintain the desired cooling temperature.
• For optimum energy consumption, leave the glass shelves/drawers in the appliance
as shown (see Fig. Locating the coldest position in the refrigerating compartment)
Setting the temperature
The Temperature control is located at the bottom front of the appliance.
1. Press button FRIDGE (1) to switch through the cooling temperatures
(2°C to 6°C).
2. Press button FREEZER (2) to switch through the freezing temperatures
(-14°C to -25°C).
à The display shows the temperature.
3. If no further input is made, the temperature is automatically saved 5 seconds
after the last input.
Super Freeze
Freezing temperature automatically drops to the coldest temperature. Freshly stored
frozen food freezes through more quickly.
1. Press key SUPER (3) for 3 seconds.
à LED SUPER FREEZE lights up. The display shows SF. After 52 hours, the function
switches off automatically.
2. To deactivate manually press key SUPER (3) for 3 seconds.
à LED SUPER FREEZE goes out. The appliance returns to the previous temperature
setting.
Key lock
The system locks automatically 30 seconds after the last button is pressed.
After locking, the control panel flashes twice when any button is pressed and two beeps
sound.
The system is unlocked when the FRIDGE (1) and FREEZER (2) buttons are pressed
simultaneously for 3 seconds.
