14 Setting up and installation
Preparing the appliance
ü The packaging materials must be undamaged.
ü Inspect the appliance for transport damage.
ü On no account should a damaged appliance be put into operation.
ü In case of damage, please contact After Sales Service.
Removing transport protection
The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport. Remove all
adhesive tapes on the right and left side of the appliance door as well as adhesive tapes
and packaging parts from the interior of the appliance. Remove residues of adhesive with
alkaline water.
Setting up the appliance
Before setting up the appliance, read the instruction manual carefully and observe the
illustrations.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply during installation.
Place the appliance
• in a dry and frost-proof room with a solid surface.
• for the installation of the connection cables, be sure to place them near a
washbasin/sink or floor drain.
Allow the necessary space for opening the appliance door

Ø To ensure adequate ventilation, the distance between the wall and
the front edge of the appliance must not be less than 60 cm.
