Saving energy
• Do not install the appliance near ovens, radiators or other heat sources. At higher
ambient temperatures, the compressor runs longer and more frequently and
results in a higher energy consumption.
• Ensure adequate ventilation space at the base, on the sides and back of the
appliance. Never cover ventilation openings. Observe the specified clearances (see
chapter 4).
• For hygiene reasons, regularly clean the appliance inside and out, including the
door seal and interior fittings.
• Before carrying out any maintenance and servicing work, ensure that the appliance
is disconnected from the mains power supply (see chapter 1.4).
• Do not set the temperature lower than necessary. This also contributes to an
optimum energy utilisation.
• The door seals of the appliance must be absolutely intact so that the doors close
correctly and the energy consumption is not unnecessarily increased.
• Open the appliance only when necessary, and then for as short a time as possible.
Energy consumption and the temperature inside the appliance can increase if the
appliance door is opened frequently or for a long time, or if it is not closed properly.
