9.4 Residual risks
DANGER
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
• Never touch the mains plug on the mains power cable with wet or damp hands
when plugging it in or unplugging it.
• Install and connect the appliance only in accordance with the description in the
instruction manual.
• In an emergency, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket immediately.
• Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before starting cleaning or service
work.
• If the mains power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by our After Sales
Service without delay.
• If the mains power cable or mains plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any
more.
• Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service
work described in this instruction manual.
WARNING
FIRE HAZARD!
• Inadequate circulation of air can cause a build-up of heat that can lead to a fire.
• It is essential to observe the prescribed clearances for the rear wall, side and top
edge of the appliance (see the chapter Minimum Clearances).
• Keep the compressor and condenser (depending on model) free of dust and foreign
objects.
9.5 Hazards due to refrigerant
DANGER
HEALTH HAZARD!
If the refrigeration circuit is damaged, refrigerant R290 will escape. The refrigerant poses
a health hazard on contact with the eyes and if inhaled.
DANGER
FLAMMABLE GAS!
EXPLOSION AND FIRE HAZARD!
• The refrigeration circuit of the appliance contains the refrigerant propane R290, a
natural gas with high environmental compatibility; it is flammable.
• Only authorised specialists are allowed to work on the refrigerant system.
• Do not damage the refrigeration circuit, for example, by puncturing the refrigerant
channels with sharp objects, kinking the pipework, etc.
• Do not damage any parts of the refrigeration circuit when transporting, setting up,
servicing or disposing of the appliance.
• In order that an explosive gas/air mixture cannot form in the event of a leak in the
refrigeration circuit, the room in which the appliance is installed must have a
minimum size according to EN 378 standard of 1 m³ per 8 g of refrigerant. The
quantity of refrigerant in the appliance can be found on the type plate.
