8.2 General safety instrucons
• Modifications or alterations to the appliance are not permitted.
• If hands or feet are wet, do not touch the appliance.
• Switch off the appliance after use.
• In an emergency, disconnect the power supply with the switch on the fuse box.
• In case of damage, e.g. because a glass pane is cracked, switch off the appliance
immediately and disconnect it from the power supply.
• Ensure good ventilation of the room so that odours and smoke can be dispelled
quickly. Depending on the situation, possibly open windows or switch on the
ventilation.
• The appliance becomes hot during use. Use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts.
Protect face.
8.3 Safety for specic groups of people
• This appliance can be used by children above 8 years of age, and by persons with
limited physical, sensory or mental aptitude or lack of experience and/or
knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and understand the associated hazards.
• Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance. Keep children under 8
years of age away from the appliance or supervise them at all times.
8.4 Safety instrucons for set-up and installaon
• The installation work and electrical cabling may only be carried out by
professionals in accordance with all the relevant regulations and standards
applicable in your country, including the fire protection measures.
• Only install and connect the appliance according to the instructions.
• Do not set up the appliance outdoors.
• Set up the appliance so that the mains plug is easily accessible.
• An inadequate circulation of air can cause a build-up of heat that can lead to a fire.
Observe minimum distances to other objects - see separate installation
instructions.
Electrical safety
The electrical safety is only guaranteed when the appliance is connected to a properly
earthed system and complies with the electrical safety standards.
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply using multiple socket
strips.
• Do not route the mains power cable under voltage.
• Do not kink the mains power cable.
• Do not pull the mains plug out of the plug socket at the mains power cable.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
• Replace a damaged mains cable immediately (see ► After Sales Service).
• If the mains power cable or mains plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any
more.
• Keep children under 8 years of age away from the mains power cable for risk of
strangulation.
