III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove all packaging materials and take out the appliance and the accessories. Remove
all adhesive foils, stickers and papers. This appliance is designed to be used in a vertical
position, with hanging garments (garments must be in an upright position - e.g. hanging
on a hanger). Do not use the appliance on an ironing board or horizontal surfaces and
do not hold it upside down - this causes inconsistent steam. To achieve the best results,
always hold the appliance in an upright (i.e. vertical) position when in use. The appliance
may produce slight smoke, which is cased by burning of used lubricants and seals in steam
chamber. This is normal situation and does not form the reason for warranty claim. During
first filling of the tank with operating water it is recommended to release the steam from
whole tank outside the ironed fabric.
Filling up the tank with water (B)
Pull the water tank B out and take off the cover of the water funnel B1. Pour clean in water
to the container B with the enclosed cup E up to the line (max 320 ml.) and close the filling
hole lid in the opposite direction. Insert the tank into the boiler in a reverse way, end-to-end,
which is accompanied by characteristic sound (clicking).
At places with hard water we recommend diluting it with distilled water. You will get the
information about water hardness at the water-management authorities, or at the local sanitary
station. For water hardness > 15 °N we recommend filling the
appliance
in the following ratio:
Water hardness Ratio of tap water : distilled water
medium 2 : 1
hard 1 : 1
very hard 1 : 2
Removing / attaching the brush (C) or extension (D)
Insert the desired attachment through the projection createds into the garment steamer and
attach it applying a slight pressure (you will hear a click). To remove the attachment hold the
projection createds and remove the attachment, pulling it slightly.
