Sickle –shaped knife (D2) and chopping container (D)
The knife is intended for chopping, mixing, blending all kinds of tough food (e.g. fruit,
vegetables, nuts, almonds, meat without bones, tendons and skin) or for preparing purée.
Do not use the knife for processing any dough! Be careful, knife edges are very sharp!
Use speed 2 for processing. The maximum time of processing is 1 minute. Then
wait for 10 – 15 minutes, which is necessary for the drive unit to cool down.
Hold knife D2 on the upper plastic part, remove apossible protective lid and slide the knife to
the central shaft D1 inside the container D (Fig. 1D). Put food into the container. Put the lid D3
on the container so that the lugs on its edge snap into the moulded holes in the container and
secure the lid by movement. Insert the drive unit Aonto the lid D3 so that it is blocked in the lid.
By pushing the button of the switch you will start the drive unit. After you have finished, switch
off the drive unit. To remove the drive, proceed in the opposite way and remove the drive unit.
Remove the lid D3 by opposite movement, remove the knife and clean it.
Recommendation
– Never crush very hard ingredients with the sickle–shaped knife, such as coffee beans,
nutmeg, ice cubes, etc.! The knife would be blunt soon.

IV. MAINTENANCE
Do not use rough and aggressive detergents! Clean the driver unit A, gearboxes C1/E3,
E
and the lid D3 with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Never immerse this accessory
in
water to avoid penetration of water inside the accessory.
Wash the other accessories
(B, C, D, D4, E)
right after use in hot water with alittle
detergent added, rinse it with clean water and wipe it till dry (you can also use
adishwasher). Be very careful when cleaning the mixer B and the sickle –shaped knife
D2, the knives are very sharp. Make sure that the cutting edges of the knives are not in
contact with hard objects that make them blunt and thus they reduce their effectiveness.
Some food can colour the accessories in some way. But this does not affect the function of
the appliance and it is not areason for aclaim. This colouring usually
disappears in some
time. Never dry plastic moldings over aheat source (e.g. heater, stove, radiator). Take
care that the binding surfaces and the sealing elements are functional.
Store the appliance
after cleaning at a dry, dustfree and safe place, out of reach of children and incapacitated
people.
