– NOTICE – Some parts of this product may become very hot and
cause burns. Take special care when children or handicapped
persons are present.
– Do not insert or take the plug out of a socket with wet hands and do not pull the
power cord!
– The product is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices and similar
workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities
providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use!
– This appliance is not intended for outdoor use.
– Do not use the appliance for heating a room!
– Do not use the appliance with a program, time switch or any other part that turns the
appliance on automatically as there is a risk of fire if the appliance is not covered or
placed properly.
– Never immerse the appliance into water or wash it in running water, except for the
parts mentioned in the Maintenance chapter.
– Let the appliance cool down before maintenance or storing it.
– It is not allowed to modify the surface of the appliance in any way (e.g. using a self-
adhesive wallpaper, foils, etc.)!
– After finishing work, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from power supply
by taking the power cord connector out of the electric socket.
– Do not switch on the pot without the inserted container or without inserted substances in
the pot.
– Never cook legumes (such as dry beans and lentils), always let them soak in water for
ten hours before cooking (see instructions on the package).
– Water or any other liquid cannot get into the inner part of the pot, i.e. between the
external and the internal container.
– Do not insert an aluminium foil or anything else between the heating plate and the
internal container.
– Do not use the internal container independently without the pot (e.g. for preparing meals
on an electric / gas / /induction / halogen cooker or on open fire.
– Do not switch on the pot without sufficient amount of water in the container for
preparation of food.
– Do not use the pot without the lid; hot water could splash from the appliance.
– Do not use the internal ceramic container if it is cracked, damaged in any way, or for
long-term storage of food (e.g. in a freezer).
– If the internal ceramic container is hot, do not immerse it into cold water or do not
wash it under stream of running cold water! If the internal ceramic container is old,
do not immerse it into hot water or do not wash it under stream of running hot water!
Sudden change in temperature could cause damage to the container (cracking).
– Do not let water freeze in the internal ceramic container or food containing water. The
container could be damaged (crack).
– The outside surface (bottom) of the ceramic container is rough. Be careful when handling
the container; thus you will prevent possible damage (scratching) of the kitchen worktop,
shelves in the fridge etc.
– Do not place the internal ceramic container close to flammable substances or objects if it
is hot.
– Do not place the internal ceramic container on a wooden table, lacquered surface or any
other sensitive surface that can be damaged by heat if the internal ceramic container is hot.
