• Before you connect the appliance to the mains, always make sure that the knob is in its
lowest position (i.e. the MIN position). After work and before maintenance, always bring
the knob to the lowest position (i.e. the MIN position) and disconnect the appliance from
the mains by unplugging the plug from the wall socket.
• In regard to fire safety, the appliance complies with EN 60 335–2–6. Within the meaning
of the standard, this appliance may only be operated on atable or on asimilar surface
provided a safe distance is maintained from flammable materials, i.e. at least 500mm in
the direction of the main heat radiation and 100mm in the other directions.
• The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire, it must not be
sunk into water or bent over sharp edges.
• Only use this appliance for the purpose it was designed for, as specified in this manual.
Never use the appliance for any other purpose.
• The producer does not undertake any responsibility for damage caused by improper use
of the appliance (e.g. deterioration of food, injury, burning, scalding, fire, etc.) a
nd
does not apply in the case of non–compliance with the safety instructions above.
II. DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE (Fig. 1)

III. PREPARATION AND USE
Remove all the packing material and take out the cooker. Remove all possible adhesion
foils, stick–on labels or paper from the appliance. There is an invisible protective coating
applied on the hot plates as part of the manufacturing process. This protective coating must
be removed before you can use the appliance for the first time. Set the knob A1 to the MAX
position and leave the appliance on for 10 minutes without the pot. Make sure that the room
is properly ventilated, as some smoke can occur. This is not a cause for concern; it is the
process by which the protective coating is removed. Bring the knob A1 to its lowest position,
disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down.

1) Place the appliance on a flat and stable worktop.
2) Make sure that the knobs are in their lowest positions.
3) Plug the appliance to the mains. Make sure that the power cord is not led under the
appliance.
4) Place a suitable pot with food on the cooking plate.
5) Set the required heating temperature (1 – MAX) with the knobs A1. Heating is indicated
with the indicator light A3. The indicator light goes out once the set temperature is
achieved. During operation, the indicator light comes on and goes out cyclically as
required to heat the cooking plates. Cookers with two cooking plates can be used to
make two meals at the same time.
6) Keep an eye on the meal during preparation.
