Unpack the machine. Remove all labels from the product. Please check that it
is complete and in good condition. If the appliance is damaged or malfunctions,
do not use it and report it to your dealer or an after-sales service centre.
Keep all packaging out of the reach of children. There is a risk of accident if
children play with the packaging materials.
•
Place the plate on a at, dry and heat-resistant surface.
•
The adjustment knobs must be in the "OFF" position. Plug in the appliance.
•
Before using the appliance for the rst time, heat the appliance for 10
minutes in order to x the protective varnish on the plate and give it maximum
resistance. Switch o and allow to cool. Your appliance can now be used.
•
Only use thick, at-bottomed pots and pans designed for ceramic hobs. Use
cooking utensils that are slightly larger or the same size as the hotplate. If
the diameter of the pan is smaller than that of the hotplate, there is a risk of
heat loss. Cooking utensils that are too large lead to ineciency and uneven
heating. It is also advisable to use a lid whenever possible to save energy.

Do not use round-bottomed woks, woks holders or other similar curved-
bottomed cookware, as this may cause the hob to overheat and damage the
appliance.
•
Always place kitchen utensils in the centre of the hotplate for quick and
ecient cooking.
•
To heat the plate, turn the control knob to the right to the desired position (0 =
O, 1 to 3 = low heat / low intensity and 4 to MAX = high heat / high intensity).
Adjust the temperature during cooking if necessary.
•
The indicator lights will come on when the hotplate starts to heat up. Once
the temperature is reached, the indicator lights will go out.
•
Note: During use, the indicator lights may turn on and o intermittently. This
is a normal feature and not a malfunction.
•
The two plates operate independently. Each is controlled by its temperature
control knob.
•
After use, set the thermostat knob to the "0 (=OFF)" position and unplug the
unit.
•
The plate will continue to heat up when switched o. You can take advantage
of this residual heat to keep food warm for a short time or to nish cooking.
