Note: Once you create and register a custom media setting, the registered setting can only be edited
from the source it was created with. For example, you cannot use the control panel to edit a Custom
Paper Setting that was created using Epson Media Installer.

Creating Custom Paper Settings Using the Control Panel
You can create custom paper settings from the printer control panel.
Note: If you are using non-Epson paper or media, consult the paper manufacturer for suggested
reference papers and print settings for use with the paper or media.
1. Load the type of paper that you want to configure in the printer.
2. Select the menu icon > General Settings > Printer Settings > Custom Paper Setting.
3. Select an open custom paper setting from the list.
Note: To modify an existing custom paper setting, select it from the list. You cannot change a
custom paper setting that was registered using Epson Media Installer.
4. Enter the name for the custom paper setting.
5. Select Change Reference Paper.
A confirmation message appears.
6. Select Yes and do one of the following:
• Select the reference paper recommended by the paper manufacturer.
• If no reference paper is available, follow these suggestions to select a paper preset that is similar
to the paper that you loaded:
• Photo paper: Baryta
• Fine art paper: UltraSmooth Fine Art
• Canvas: Canvas Satin or Canvas Matte
• Plain paper: Plain Paper
• Glossy paper: Photo Paper
