Replacing Ink Cartridges 37
Follow these steps to replace a cartridge:
Caution:
Leave the empty cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink
remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out. To ensure good results, use genuine
EPSON ink cartridges and do not refill them. Other products may cause damage to your
CX6400 not covered by EPSON’s warranty.
1. If an ink cartridge is empty:
Look at the LCD screen to see which cartridge is empty, then press the
Color
button.
If an ink cartridge is low:
Press the
Setup button to enter Setup Mode, then press the green button next
to the LCD screen until
Replace Ink is displayed. Then press the Color
button.
2. Lift up the scanner section.
3. Wait for the ink cartridge holder to move over as shown, then open its cover.
