8 Safety - ENGLISH
CAUTION!
• Before the product is used the first time, it must be calibrated.
• Before washing laundry items the first time, a washing programme must be run to completion without
any items in the drum.
Safety during operation
WARNING!
• Flammable, explosive or toxic solvents are forbidden. Gasoline and alcohol etc. must not be used as
detergents. Only use detergents that are suitable for machine washing.
• Never use flammable sprays or substances in the immediate proximity of the product.
WARNING!
Always unplug the product and turn off the water supply after use.
WARNING!
• Take care to avoid scalding when the hot water is being emptied from the product.
• Do not remove the drain pump filter while there is still water in the product. There is a risk of scalding due
to hot water.
• If the product has a function that allows you to pause a washing programme and add more clothes, do
not use this function when the water level is above the rim of the inner drum or the temperature setting is
high.
• When the drum is still rotating and there is a large amount of hot water in the drum, it is unsafe to open
the door and the door cannot be opened by force.
• Never refill with water by hand during washing.
• Remove all items from the pockets, especially lighters, matches, and similar objects, before washing.
• Items containing foam rubber (such as latex foam), shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubber-backed
articles, and clothes or pillows fitted with foam rubber pads should not be washed, spun or dried in the
machine.
• Do not wash only one clothing item, as it may easily create significant eccentricity and cause alarm due
to imbalance. Add one or two more laundry items to the wash so that spinning can be done smoothly.
• Do not wash, or spin water-proof seats, mats, or clothing.
CAUTION!
After a washing program is completed:
• wait for two minutes before opening the door, and
• check whether the water inside the drum has been drained before opening the door. Do not open the
door if there is any water visible.
CAUTION!
• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be used as specified by the fabric softener instructions.
• Sharp and rigid items, such as coins, brooches, nails, screws or stones etc., may cause serious damage
to this machine. Make sure that all pockets are emptied.
• Never try to open the door forcefully. The door will unlock shortly after the end of a cycle.
CAUTION!
Before washing laundry items the first time, run the Drum clean programme with a temperature of 90 °C
without any laundry, detergent, or softener in the machine.
CAUTION!
Do not operate the machine in rooms with a temperature of below 5°C. This can cause damages to parts of it.
If it is unavoidable, make sure to drain the water completely from the product after every use to avoid
damages caused by frost.
