SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Incorrect operation can cause personal injury and damage to property. To avoid this, you must
follow the safety precautions below – read through them carefully before starting to use the
appliance. If you do not follow these instructions there is a risk of personal injury, electric shock
or re due to overheating.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE EARTH PIN.
DO NOT USE AN ADAPTER.
DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CABLE.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in fatality, re or electric shock.
Before moving the refrigerator to its nal position, make sure the mains supply is of the correct
type.
An earthed socket is recommended.
A socket rated at 220–240 V/50 Hz AC is required. It should be tted with a 10 A melt fuse and
be correctly earthed. We recommend a separate power circuit that only supplies this appliance.
Use an electric socket without on/off switch.
NOTE: Before carrying out any form of installation work, disconnect the freezer from the mains
supply.
Once you are nished, connect the refrigerator to the mains supply and set the thermostat to
the desired value.
1) WARNING – Keep the ventilation holes in the appliance and in any structure in which it might
be installed free of obstructions.
2) WARNING – Do not use any tools or other means to speed up the defrosting process except
those recommended by the manufacturer.
3) WARNING – Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
4) WARNING – Do not use any electrical devices inside the appliance except those recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
5) The appliance must be disconnected from the power supply prior to performing any kind
of maintenance on it.
6) Children must be kept under supervision to prevent them playing with the appliance.

In the interests of safety, if the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s representative or a similar authorised person.
8)
A
refrigerator that is no longer serviceable should be handed over to a recycling facility
,
as it contains ammable gas and refrigerant that is an environmental hazard.
9)
Keep ammable material and vapours, e.g. petrol, away from the
refrigerator
.
Failure to do so can result in fatality, explosion, re or burns.
