32 Installation - ENGLISH

DANGER!
• To ensure your safety, the electric connection must be made by a qualified electrician. The plug must
be connected to an earthed socket.
• Never turn on a malfunctioning product. If the product is malfunctioning, broken or has a cracked
surface, pull the power plug, switch off the circuit breaker and contact the support.
• A malfunctioning product may cause electric shock.
• There is a danger of physical injury due to sharp edges during the installation of the product.
• Any changes to the electrical wiring in your home must only be made by a qualified electrician.
Wiring diagram
Connect the hob to the mains according to the electrical wiring diagram.
Install the hob
Before installing the hob, read section "Safety during installation", page 5 and section "Installation options and
requirements", page 30.
Make sure to mount the hob considering the measurements and other factors described in this section.

NOTE!
• The safety distance between the sides of the hob and the inner surfaces of the worktop should be at
least 3 mm.
• Use a heat-resistant and insulated work surface material (wood and similar fibrous or hygroscopic
material shall not be used as work surface material unless impregnated) to avoid the electrical shock
and larger deformation caused by the heat radiation from the hotplate.
• Make sure the glue that joins plastic or wooden material to the furniture can handle a temperature of at
least 150 °C to prevent the panelling from coming loose.
• Adjacent and surrounding surfaces must be able to handle a temperature of 90 °C.
