16 Using your freezer - ENGLISH
Turn on and turn off Eco mode
Use Eco mode to reduce energy consumption.
The controls can only be used when the child lock is unlocked. To unlock the child lock, see section "Unlock the child lock",
page 14.
1. Touch Eco/Child lock to turn on Eco mode.
is displayed and the temperature is set to -17°C (1°F).
2. Touch Eco/Child lock again or touch SET TEMP. to turn off Eco mode.
is no longer displayed and the temperatures reverts back to the previous settings.
Eco mode needs to be manually turned off.
Turn on and turn off SuperFreeze mode
Use SuperFreeze mode to rapidly lower the temperature. Doing so freezes the food faster than usual. This keeps the food
fresh for longer and vitamins and nutrients are preserved more efficiently.
The controls can only be used when the child lock is off. To unlock the child lock, see section "Unlock the child lock", page
14.
1. Touch SuperFreeze to turn on SuperFreeze mode.

2. Wait about 24hours.
NOTE! The time for SuperFreeze mode to take full effect depends on the amount of food. The recommended
time for a maximum amount of food to be frozen is 24hours.
3. Touch SuperFreeze or SET TEMP. to turn off SuperFreeze mode.

SuperFreeze mode automatically turns off after 52hours and the temperature setting in the freezer reverts back to
the previous setting.
Storing food
Store food in the freezer
WARNING!
• Do not place food or containers in the freezer with wet hands when the freezer is running, especially
metal containers, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burns.
• Do not consume frozen food, such as ice popsicles and ice cubes, straight from the freezer. This may
cause ice burns.
CAUTION!
• Always follow food storage times and use by dates suggested by manufacturers.
• Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the freezer.
• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer as it creates pressure in the container, which may
cause it to explode and damage the product.
• Make sure that bottles are not left in the freezer for longer than needed. Freezing may cause the bottles
to break.
CAUTION!
Do not close the door while any drawers are open. It may damage the drawers and the door.
