8 Safety - ENGLISH
CAUTION!
Warnings for food safety!
To avoid contamination of food, please follow these instructions:
• Avoid prolonged door openings: Keeping the door open for long periods can cause a significant
increase in the temperature inside the compartments.
• Regular cleaning: Clean surfaces that come into contact with food and accessible drainage systems
regularly.
• Water dispenser maintenance: For models with a water dispenser: If the water dispenser has not been
used for 48 hours, clean it before use. If the water system is connected to a water supply and has not
been used for 5 days, flush it before consumption.
• Proper storage of raw meat and fish: Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the
compartments to prevent contact with or dripping onto other food.
• Star-rated compartments:
– Two-star frozen food compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, preserving ice cream,
and making ice cubes.
– One-star, two-star, and three-star compartments are not suitable for freezing fresh food.
• Long-term storage precautions: If the refrigerating product is left empty for long periods, switch it off,
defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mould from developing inside.
• The storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to.
• Food needs to be packed into bags before it is put into the fridge. Liquids need to be stored in bottles or
capped containers in order to avoid a spill, as the design structure of the product is not easy to clean.
• Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.
• Store different foods according to the compartments or target storage temperatures of your purchased
product.
• Place food so that air can circulate freely around it.
• Do not freeze frozen food again once it has thawed out. Once the food has thawed, it may slowly lose
quality or spoil.
• Cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour to avoid transfer of odours.
• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure in the
container, which may cause it to explode and damage the product.
• Do not fill the water dispenser with hot water, milk, juice, carbonated beverages, or beverages that
contain particles. The water dispenser is only for cold water. Using the water dispenser for beverages
other than water may cause damage to the product.
• Do not fill the water dispenser with more than 4 litres. It may lead to overflow when the lid is closed.
• Do not touch parts other than necessary when filling the water dispenser to avoid the risk of leakage.
Safety during maintenance
WARNING!
• Any electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with comparable
qualifications.
• This product must only be serviced by an authorised service centre, and only genuine spare parts must
be used.
WARNING!
Before any cleaning or performing any maintenance of the product, unplug the product from the power
socket.
WARNING!
Do not use tools or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
