2. Adjust the height of the upper basket by doing one of the following:
• To raise the upper basket, lift the upper basket until it locks into the desired height and clicks.
• To lower the upper basket, pull the handle on both sides of the upper basket to release it, then lower it.
3. Push in the basket.
Adjust the height again if needed.
Loading the dishwasher efficiently
Use these guidelines when loading the dishwasher.
To optimize energy consumption and washing and drying performance, ensure you load the dishwasher according to its
capacity.
WARNING!
Long-bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential hazard.
CAUTION!
• Place sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the door seal.
• Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the basket.
• If possible, place thin, narrow items in the middle sections of baskets.
• Place heavily soiled and larger items in the lower basket, and smaller, delicate, and light items in the upper basket.
• Items such as cups, glasses, pots and pans should face downwards.
• Curved items, or items with recesses, should be loaded at an angle so that water can run off.
• All utensils should be stacked securely so that they cannot tip over.
• All utensils should be placed so that they do not prevent the spray arms from rotating freely during washing.
