If the water hardness is below 7*dH and the water softener level is set to level 0 or 1, salt is unnecessary, and and
will remain lit.
• If the water hardness is above 50*dH from a well source, using filter and water purification devices is advised.
NOTE!
• If there are stains on tableware items after washing, water softener level must be increased and if there
is a blue trace after wiping them by hand, it must be decreased.
• If the water softening system is adjusted properly, the washing performance will increase.

To adjust the water softener level, follow these steps:
1. If you need to determine the water hardness level. See section "Determine the water hardness level", page 18.
2. Close the door.
3.
Press to turn on the machine.
4.
Press and hold and for 3 seconds to enter water softener setup mode.
5.
Press until the salt indicator starts to flash.
Current hardness level is displayed on the programme indicator.
NOTE! The default setting is P3.
6.
Press to cycle through the available water hardness levels.
7.
Press to confirm and to exit the water softener setup mode.
Determine the water hardness level
To improve the washing, rinsing, and drying performance of your determine the local water hardness level. To improve the
washing, rinsing, and drying performance of your dishwasher, ensure that the water softener level is set to the hardness
of the water in your area.

1. Unpack the test strip.
2. Open the water tap and let the water flow for about 1 minute.
3. Submerge the test strip in the water for 1 second.
