Make sure that the water level inside
the drum is not too high. If necessary,
proceed with an emergency drain
(refer to «Emergency drain» in «Care
and cleaning» chapter).
To open the door, proceed as follows:
1. Press the On/Off button to switch the
appliance off.
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the
mains socket.
3. Open the filter flap.
4. Pull the emergency unlock trigger
downward once. Pull it downward once
again, keep it tensed and, in the
meanwhile, open the appliance door.
5. Take out the laundry and then close the
appliance door.
6. Close the filter flap.
16.3 Eliminating detergent or other
additives from salt compartment

Any type of detergent and additives
inadvertently poured in the compartment

must be eliminated completely.
If this happens, please proceed as follows:
1. Pull the drawer out.

2. Eliminate any trace of detergent or
additive and clean the compartment
thoroughly.
3. Insert the drawer back and pour salt in
the compartment

4. Close the drawer.
5. Run a cotton or synthetic cycle, without
reducing time, to restore the water
softener function.
