• Items containing foam rubber (also known as latex
foam), similarly textured rubber, or materials e.g.
shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubber-backed
articles, and clothes or pillows fitted with foam rubber
pads should not be dried in the machine on a heat
setting. Foam rubber materials can produce fire by
spontaneous combustion when heated.
• Rubber-backed articles, clothes fitted with foam
rubber pads, pillows, rubber boots, and rubber-
coated sports shoes.
• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be used
as specified by the fabric softener instructions.
• Remove all objects from pockets such as lighters and
matches.
For your safety, and to reduce the risk of fire or an
explosion, DO NOT store or use petrol or other
flammable vapours and liquids near your dryer.
