IP TEST PARAMETERS
Following any repair or maintenance procedure that requires disassembly of the fixture, use Elation’s
IP Tester to confirm the IP integrity of the fixture. Please contact Elation Service for information

CAUTION! THE USE OF PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND SAFETY GOGGLES IS STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED WHILE PERFORMING THE IP PRESSURE TEST! AVOID PLACING YOUR
FACE, EYES, HANDS, ETC IN PROXIMITY TO THE LENS OF THE FIXTURE WHILE
PERFORMING THE TEST!
DE-HUMIDIFICATION: IP66 xtures operating in high-humidity environments may experience residual
fogging or condensation. Such fogging will not aect the xture, and can be removed using the following
procedure: position the unit with the air valve pointing upwards, then open the air valve and run the
unit for 1-2 hours after reaching operating temperature. Then, while the xture is still hot, re-install
the air valve and allow the unit to cool down. Please note: this procedure should be performed in a
dry, climate-controlled environment. Avoid additional fogging by drying the xture completely before
placing into a road case.
Note: the Proteus Brutus FS has 2 air valves. One is located inside the yoke arm as seen below. To
access the valve hidden on the Yoke Arm, remove Side Arm Cover.

Note: The second Valve is located on the left side of rear connector panel.
