FS-150SCI™ Controls and Functions
Special Note: Line Termination.
When longer runs of cable are
used, you may need to use a terminator on the last unit to avoid erratic
behavior. A terminator is a 90-120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor which is con-
nected between pins 2 and 3 of a male XLR connector (DATA + and
DATA -). This unit is inserted in the female XLR connector of the last unit
in your daisy chain to terminate the line. Using a cable terminator will
decrease the possibilities of erratic behavior.

Termination reduces signal errors and
avoids signal transmission problems
and interference. It is always advisable
to connect a DMX terminal, (Resistance
120 Ohm 1/4 W) between PIN 2 (DMX-)
and PIN 3 (DMX +) of the last fixture.

Linking: Your xture comes with a built-in controller This controller
may be used to control up to 16 units when daisy-chained together in
a master-slave conguration. Any unit can function as either a “Master
Unit” or a “Slave Unit.” Link the units together using standard DMX
cable.

1. IRIS OPEN - Holding this button will open the IRIS.
2. IRIS CLOSE - Holding this button down will close the IRIS
3. ON - Pressing this button will open the shutter.
4. STROBE - These buttons will strobe the Shutter in four different
speeds.
5. BLACKOUT - This button will close the lamp shutter.
6. POWER SWITCH - This button turn on the main power.
7. UV - This button will select UV lter option.
8. GREEN - This button will select the green color lter
9. MAGENTA - This button will select the magenta color lter.
10. BLUE - This button will select the blue color lter.
11. ORANGE - This button will select the orange color lter.
12. RED - This button will select the red color lter.
13. WHITE - This button will deselect all color lters.
14. YELLOW - This button is used to select the yellow color lter.
15. FUSE/POWER SUPPLY - Use the supplied IEC power cable to
connect the unit to a power circuit. A 5 amp fuse is housed here.

DMX stands for Digital Multiplex. This is a universal binary language
used as a form of communication between intelligent fixtures. Each dip
switch represents a binary value.
