Height Adjustment
The EPF 1503 includes a height adjustable protective hood.
1. Open the three wing nuts.
2. Pull the brush rim down till
the depth gauge can be turned.
3. Adjust the required milling
depth.
4. Push the brush rim up again.
5. Retighten the wing nuts.
Overload Protection
In order to protect the user, the motor and the tool, the EPF 1503 is
equipped with an electronic and thermal overload protection.
Electronic: In case of overload caused by a grinding pressure
which is too high, the electronics react by decreasing the
speed of the machine. You can continue working when the
grinding pressure has been reduced.
If you don't relief the pressure on the machine or put
furthermore too much pressure on the tool it reacts by
witching OFF the machine. After automatic switch-OFF
of the machine you can continue working after
switching OFF and ON the power tool again.
Thermal: In case of permanent overload, a thermal sensor protects
the motor against destruction. In this case, the tool
switches off automatically and can only be restarted after a
certain cooling period (approx. 2 minutes). Actuate the
ON/OFF switch! The cooling period depends on the
heating of the motor winding and the ambient temperature.
Dust Exhaust
Dust which occurs during your work is hazardous to health. That is why it is
advisable to use a deduster and to wear a dust mask. For the EPF 1503 we
supply the industrial vacuum cleaners (category M) which can be connected
directly to the protective hood’s 35 mm hose connector.
The machine is designed according to the requirements mentioned in
TRGS 559 (technical regulations for hazardous materials) article 4.3.
