Commissioning/start-up
NOTE
Never allow the pump to run dry. Otherwise the pump may be destroyed.
The unit may only be used when the container is fully filled.
Filling the container with water

Starting up the unit
To prevent the unit from drawing in air, submerge the intake opening in water before switch-
ing on the unit and ensure it remains submerged in water for the entire duration of operation.
Switching on: Plug the power plug into the socket.
• The unit is turned on immediately.
• Route the power cable so that there is a drip loop and the lowest point is positioned under-
neath the socket. This prevents dripping water from entering the socket.
• Only proceed with cleaning when the unit no longer contains any air. This is usually the
case after a few minutes when the unit has started to make less noise.
Switching off: Pull the power plug from the socket.
• Clean the container and the foam filter after each use. (→ Maintenance and cleaning)
