9.2 WebGUI First steps
To access the PULSO web application from an external device (computer, tablet, etc.) using
a browser, first make sure that both devices are physically connected to the same local area
network (LAN) and configured within the same network range.
DHCP is the default network configuration mode. If you have a router/switch with a DHCP
server enabled (see the specifications for your device), network configuration is automatic so
there is no need for you to do any re-configuration. In case there is no active DHCP server in
the network, PULSO will automatically configure its address in the auto-ip range 169.254.x.y
There are 3 ways to access to PULSO settings:
9.2.1 PULSO Local Admin Interface
1. Power up PULSO by PoE or external power supply.
2. If the device comes with factory settings, at start-up the screen will remain in the Admin
login page. If a control application has already been selected, there will be 10 seconds
available to access the Admin login page before the selected application starts.
3. Enter the default password: admin
4. Using the configuration menus, it will be possible to configure the device. It’s possible to
select the default application that will automatically starts 10 seconds after the logout or
the next reboot, configure the network settings, the screen brightness etc.
9.2.2 Automatic Connection Via Web Interface
1. Power up PULSO by PoE or external power supply and ensure it is connected to the same
network of your browser-equipped device.
2. Connect your browser-equipped device (computer, tablet, etc.) to the same local network
(router/switch) and ensure that it is in the same network range.
3. Check the label on the rear panel and enter the indicated web
address (e.g. http://PULSO-6-xxxx.local/admin) into your browser.
The last 4 digits of the web address are the same as the last digits of
the device MAC address.
4. Enter that address in your browser and login with the default
password: “admin”.
5. Using the configuration menus, it will be possible to configure the device, and it will be
possible to select the default application that will automatically starts 10 seconds after
the next reboot.
