Operation
Switching the device on/off
To turn the device on, press the ON/
OFF key.
After a few seconds (self test) the device
is ready to take readings and displays
the current values for relative humidity
rH and temperature.
The top left of the display screen shows
a small battery symbol which shows the
remaining charge in the device battery
(see page 37).
If the screen displays the message “HI”,
“LO”, or “—” please see page 41, “What
to do, if…“.
To turn the device off, press the ON/
OFF key.
If you forget to turn off the device, it will
turn off automatically after two hours of
operation to conserve the battery – un-
less this setting has been modified (see
page 21).
Filter use
When using the device in dusty environ-
ments, use of an air filter is recom-
mended to avoid damage to the sensor.
The filter can be attached onto and
detached from the existing thread as
required.
Utilisation
Activation/désactivation de l’ap-

Pour allumer l’appareil, appuyer sur
la touche ON/OFF.
En quelques secondes (test automa-
tique), l’appareil est prêt à effectuer des
mesures et indique les taux actuels
d’humidité relative rH (relative humidity)
et la température.
En haut à gauche sur l’écran d’affi-
chage, un petit symbole indique l’état de
charge de la batterie de l’appareil (voir
page 37).
Si les annonces «HI», «LO» ou «—» ap-
paraissent sur l’écran, consultez la page
41, «Que faire, quand… ».
Appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF
pour éteindre l’appareil.
Si vous oubliez d’éteindre l’appareil,
l’appareil s’éteint automatiquement
(sauf autre réglage, voir page 21) après
deux heures de fonctionnement pour
économiser la pile.
Utilisation d’un filtre
En cas d’utilisation de l’appareil dans un
endroit de production de poussière, il
est recommandé d’employer un filtre à
air, pour ne pas endommager le cap-
teur.
Le filtre peut au besoin être vissé ou dé-
vissé sur le filetage existant.
