Explosion protection approval
Heed the regulations for use in
explosive areas.
Danger of accident in the event of an
explosion!
The EBI 12 data loggers have the
"Electrical equipment for explosive
areas” certification from Bureau Veritas.
II1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga
for ambient temperatures from
-40 °C to +85 °C
Use in an area with a potentially
explosive atmosphere
The EBI 12 data loggers are approved
for a Zone 0 EPL Ga area with a
potentially explosive atmosphere.
However, this only applies under the
following preconditions:
1. The printout of the approval must be
visible on the housing.
2. The unit, with or without eyelet ring, must
be earthed according to the earthing
concept of the user.
3. The unit must be protected against
electrostatic charging and must not be
used or stored in the vicinity of charge
generating processes.
4. No part of the unit must be exposed to a
temperature higher than +85 °C.
5. The housing must not be opened in an
area with a potentially explosive
atmosphere.
6. The battery supplied by -ebro-
®
is
installed.
7. Never operate the interface in an area
with a potentially explosive atmosphere.
The interface is not approved for use in
an area with a potentially explosive
atmosphere.

Utilisation en zone Ex
Les enregistreurs EBI 12 sont
homologués pour les zones Ex « Zone
0 EPL Ga ».
Toutefois, ceci est valable uniquement
dans les conditions suivantes :
1. L’impression de l’homologation doit être
visible sur le boîtier.
2. L'appareil, avec ou sans anneau
intermédiaire, doit être mis à la terre
conformément au concept de mise à la
terre de l'utilisateur.
3. L’appareil doit être protégé contre les
charges électrostatiques et ne doit pas
être utilisé ni stocké à proximité de
processus susceptibles d'induire des
charges électrostatiques.
4. Aucun composant de l’appareil ne doit
être exposé à une température
supérieure à +85°C.
5. Ne pas ouvrir le boîtier en zone Ex.
6. La pile fournie par -ebro-
®
est montée.
7. Ne jamais utiliser l’interface en zone Ex.
L’interface n’est pas homologuée pour
l’utilisation en zone Ex.
