NOTICES FOR ASSEMBLY
Please Note!
We recommend carrying out the assembly with two people.
Note the orientation of the mesh sides: The zipper must face the room so it can be
opened / closed after installation. The spring-loaded pushers must face the window.
Lengthen or shorten opposite frame edges as evenly as possible toavoid tilting.
Be careful when reducing the size of the frame. There is a danger of crushing!
When the product is delivered, the shorter edges of the frame are extended a little.
To be able to fix the frame in a smaller window opening (short side <87 cm), after
plugging the frame together the shorter edges must initially be pushed together.
Assembling the Frame
1. Fold open the net (A) with the edges of the frame (Picture1).
2. Make sure that the edge of the net is inside the guide at all 8 corner halves (Picture2).
3. Plug together the corners of the frame so they are flush ( Picture3).
4. If necessary, align the zipper parallel to the frame. To do this, carefully and evenly
slide the net close to the frame in the desired direction.
5. Insert one of the spring elements into each corner of the right and left frame edges.
Select the appropriate spring element(B or C) for each corner and pay attention to the
orientation (Picture4).
Adjusting the Frame Size
Increasing(Picture5): Hold the assembled frame firmly on one edge. At the same
time, pull the opposite edge outwards to increase the length of the other two edges
ofthe frame.
Decreasing (Picture6): Press in the locking lug for each frame edge (1.) to release
thelocking mechanism. At the same time, carefully push in the frame edge (2.).
Inserting the Frame
1. Make sure that the frame is assembled correctly (see the “Assembling the Frame
section).
2. Adjust the frame height (see theAdjusting the Frame Size” section; Picture7):
Hold the bottom edge firmly while doing this. After adjustment, the spring-loaded
pushers must rest against the window reveal at the top and bottom.
3. Adjust the frame width: After adjustment, the spring-loaded pushers must be in
contact with the window reveal on the right and left and be pressed in as far as
possible (Picture8) so that the frame holds itself in the window reveal with the
maximum spring force.
L
Depending on the window reveal, there may be gaps between the reveal and
the frame. To close these gaps, the supplied brush seal can be attached to the
frame after it has been adjusted to the correct size.
Attaching the brush seal(D):
1. Suitable for all the gaps between the frame and the window reveal: Cut the
brush seal to the appropriate lengths. The spring-loaded pushers(B and C)
should not be pasted over.
2. Carefully take the fitted frame out of the window reveal: To do this, push the
frame evenly to the right or left; At the same time, fix the spring-loaded pushers
on the opposite side with one finger each to prevent them from springing out
suddenly. Then take out the frame and slowly release all spring-loaded pushers.
3. Make sure the frame is clean, dry and free of grease; clean it if necessary.
4. Peel off the backing and stick the brush seal onto the frame (Picture9).
5. Put the frame back in place. To do this, lightly press in the spring-loaded
pushers on one side. Align the frame so that the zipper is as close to the
window handle as possible.
Attach the mesh protection studs(E): Peel off the backing and stick one stud to the
window at each contact point between the window and the mesh (Picture10, 11).
USE
The window can also be opened/closed with the frame inserted. To do so, hold the tabs
next to the zipper, then open/close the zipper (Picture12).
DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so
that it can be recycled.
Waste prevention makes an even more valuable contribution to protecting the
environment. This means if possible, as well as continuing to use or repair a
product yourself, passing it on to another user also represents an ecologically
beneficial alternative to disposal.
