Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words
Danger symbol: This symbol indicates dangers of injury.
Read through the associated safety notices carefully
and follow them.

Intended Use
• The solar light is intended to be used for decorating outside
spaces. Its battery charges up in daylight via the solar panel.
This stored energy allows the LED to glow in the dark.
• The product is designed for personal use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications. The product should only
be used as described in these operating instructions. Any oth-
er use is deemed to be improper.
• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-
tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
■ The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals
unsupervised with the product in order to avoid injuries!
■ Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
There is a danger of suocation!
■ CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If the bat-
tery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear
protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse
the aected areas with abundant clear water straight away and
seek medical assistance immediately.
■ Protect the product from ames and impacts.
■ Never immerse the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splashproof.
■ During extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if the
product will not be used for a long time, switch o the product
and store it in a dry place.
■ Do not take the product apart (except for disposal). Have any
repairs done only by a specialist workshop or the customer
service department. The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.
■ The product should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be
switched on automatically.
■ Keep the solar panel clean so that the greatest possible ab-
sorption of light is ensured.

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-
age. If you nd any damage to the components, do not use them
(!), but contact our customer service department.

Remove any possible lms, stickers or transport protection from
the product. Never remove the rating plate and any possible
warnings.
Putting Into Operation
The battery has to be charged before the LEDs can light up. To
make sure that the battery lasts for as long as possible, it should
be fully charged (around 6 – 8 hours).
1. Place the solar light in a location where it can receive direct
sunlight for as much of the day as possible (in an open area,
not under trees etc.). Place the light on a dry, elevated and
even surface. Do not place it directly on the ground so that
no water can get into it when it rains! Make sure that it does
not present a trip hazard.
2. Slide the sliding switch to the ON position to switch on the solar
unit. (Slide it to OFF to switch it o.)
Cleaning
Make sure that the solar panel is always clean so that the greatest
possible absorption of light is guaranteed. You should therefore
clean the solar panel (and if necessary also the remaining compo-
nents of the product) with a damp cloth from time to time. Do not
use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the
article! These could damage the surface.

Remove the battery
Take the battery compartment cover o the solar unit. The battery
can then carefully be removed.
