At seam beginning
Backtacking
and sew
• Press the pedal forwards (position +1) and keep it
there.
Machine sews a start bartack (if specified).
Afterwards, the machine continues to sew – with
increasing speed the further forward the pedal is
pressed.
In the middle of the seam
Stop sewing • Release the pedal (position 0).
The machine stops. Depending on the setting,
the roller foot is either up or down.
Continue
the sewing
process (after
releasing the
pedal)
• Press the pedal forwards (position +1)
Machine continues to sew – with increasing speed
the further forward the pedal is pressed.
Sewing over
thicker parts
of the material
• Use the knee button to increase the roller foot stroke
( p. 46).
Changing the
stitch length
• Activate the 2
nd
stitch length using the button on the
push button panel ( p. 46).
Increasing the
thread tension
• Use the button on the push button panel to activate
the additional thread tension ( p. 46).
Sewing an
intermediate
bartack
• Sew backwards with stitch regulator ( p. 46) or
activate backwards sewing using the button on the
push button panel ( p. 46).
At seam end
Finish the
seam and
remove
the sewing
material
• Press the pedal fully back (position -2) and keep it
there.
End bartack is sewn, and thread is cut (if set).
Machine stops.
Needle is up. Roller foot is up.
• Remove the sewing material.
