6.2.2 Lubricating the hook
The approved oil quantity for hook lubrication is a factory specifi-
cation.
Proper setting
1. Hold a piece of blotting paper next to the hook.
2. Allow the machine to run without thread and sewing material
for 10 seconds with the sewing feet lifted and at a high speed.
The blotting paper will show a thin strip of oil when sewing is
complete.

To lubricate the hook:
1. Turn the screw (1):
• counterclockwise: more oil is released
• clockwise: less oil is released
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
Crushing and puncture possible.
Only lubricate the hook when the machine is
switched off. Carry out function tests with utmost
caution when the sewing machine is switched on.
