7.18 Checking the lubrication
All wicks and felt bits of the machine head are soaked in oil at
the factory. This oil is conveyed to the reservoir during use. This is
why you should avoid filling too much oil during initial filling.

To check the lubrication:
1. Sew with the machine for approx. 1 minute.
2. Check at the inspection glass (3) whether the warning indica-
tor is lit red or the oil level has dropped below the minimum
marking (1).
3. If this is the case, top off oil ( p. 169).
7.19 Performing a test run
When setup is complete, perform a test run to check the function-
ality of the machine.
(1) - Minimum level marking
(2) - Maximum level marking
(3) - Inspection glass
