3. Product Introduction

3.1 Application
This product is a fall arrest harness for use when working
at height or where a risk of free fall exists. It is suitable for
use as a component of a fall arrest system to connect a
safety harness to an anchor point.
This harness shall not be used for work positioning, as a
restraint system or rescue system.
This product may be used to arrest a single fall ONLY.
DO NOT tamper with this product.
Important: Users MUST be competent and responsible
or under the direct and visual control of a competent and
responsible person.
Any other application beyond the conditions established
for use will be considered misuse.
Draper Tools accepts no responsibility for improper use
of this product or any consequence, direct, indirect or
accidental, or any other type of injury or damage
resulting from the use of this product.
Read this manual in full before attempting to use, inspect
or maintain the product, and retain it for later use.
This product is an item of Personal Protective Equipment
(one person only) in accordance with the PPE Regulation
(EU) 2016/425 and complies with standard:
EN 361:2002.
3.2 Limitations
The following limitations to the capability of this product
must be recognised and considered before use.
Important: DO NOT use this product for applications
beyond the capabilities of the equipment.
This product is a component of a fall arrest system and
contributes to stopping a free fall when it occurs.
It DOES NOT prevent free fall from occurring.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that there is
sucient fall clearance to avoid impact with the ground
or other obstacles should free fall occur. The fall
clearance must be calculated before each use according
to the position of the anchor points relative to the
connection to the harness. ALWAYS ensure that a
sucient safety clearance is included in the calculation.

Important: When used in environments in which
additional physical and environmental hazards may
reduce the eectiveness of this product, additional risk
assessments and precautions must be observed to
reduce the likelihood of injury to the user or damage to
the equipment. Such hazards include, but are not limited
to, extremes of temperature, prolonged exposure to
weather, chemicals and corrosive environments,
ultraviolet light, live electrical conductors, gases and
explosive materials or vapours.
