8. Setting Up the Vacuum Cleaner

Important: Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged
from the power outlet before assembling.
8.1 Setting Up (Fig. 7 & Fig. 8)
1. Release the tank catches (6) and lift o the motor
housing.
2. Fit the required correct lter.
− Cartridge lter (27) and paper dustbag (26) for
dry vacuuming (refer to Section 9.1). NOT
suitable for wet vacuuming.
− Foam lter (28) for wet vacuuming only (refer to
Section 9.2). NOT suitable for dry vacuuming.
3. Ret the motor housing and secure using the two
catches (6).
4. Push the connector end of the exible hose (17) into
the vacuum port (3) and turn to lock in place.
5. Insert the head end of the exible hose (17) into the
control handle grip (18) and turn to lock in place.
− The grip is tted with a suction power regulator
device (18.1). For full suction power close the
regulator device.
− A remote on/o control (18.2) is incorporated in the
grip for use both when shampooing and vacuuming.
6. Fit the extension tube (19) and the required
attachment to the end of the hose – push t to secure.
− Use the oor and carpet attachment (21) on hard
oors, parquet, cork, vinyl, ceramic etc.
7. Replace the motor housing and secure with the two
catches.

8.2 Switching ON (Fig. 9 & Fig. 10)
1. Connect to the power supply and turn on by pushing
the ‘ON/OFF’ switch (5) to the ON ‘I’ position.
2. Then select either vacuum mode (4.1) or (18.4) or
shampoo mode (4.2) or (18.5) by pressing the relevant
button on the front of the motor housing or on the
remote grip.
