10. BASIC WOOD TURNING
10.1 OPERATION AND USE
The dog clutch allows the plung lever to be
repositioned relative to the user.
By pulling the lever to the right it disengages the
chuck, the positional adjustment can be made for
user comfort.
It is important to set the depth stop on the main
column this will prevent morticing too deep and
possibly damaging the work table.
Ensure the workpiece and chisel are square to
each other. Finally secure the morticer to a stable
worktable to avoid it toppling over.
