9. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Important: ALWAYS switch o and disconnect from the
vehicle’s battery before carrying out any cleaning,
maintenance or repairs on this sprayer.
9.1 General Maintenance
• After use clean the sprayer and decontaminate
yourself.
• Remove all clothing worn during spraying and wash
separately from other clothes. Wash all exposed skin
with soap and water.
• DO NOT store the sprayer with chemicals in the tank.
9.2 Draining the Tank
1. Disconnect the power and relieve system pressure by
pressing the gun trigger.
2. Find a suitable container in which to drain any
unused pesticide. Place the container under the
drainage hole and unscrew the drainage cap

3. Ret the cap once draining complete.
9.3 Flushing the Sprayer
• Always follow the chemical manufacturer’s
recommendations.
1. Add fresh water to the tank.
2. Reconnect power to the sprayer and operate the
sprayer to discharge the water onto a suitable area.
3. Add the chemical manufacturer’s recommended
cleaning solution and operate the spray gun.
4. After ushing, disconnect the power and ensure the
system pressure is relieved by squeezing the trigger.
5. Dispose of the cleaning solution as recommended by
the solution manufacturer.
9.4 Pump Fuse Replacement (Fig.21)
• If the fuse requires replacing lift up the cover

and remove the fuse.
• Only replace with a fuse of the same rating and size
(26175 = 5A and 26176/26180 = 15A).

9.5 Storage
• DO NOT store the sprayer with chemicals in the tank.
• Store any unused chemicals in their original or
suitably marked container in a secure location out of
the reach of children and animals.
• Store the spray gun and broadcast lance in the clips
on the tank.
• Prepare the sprayer for end of season storage by
running antifreeze through the system. This will keep
the internal parts lubricate, protect against corrosion
and prevent damaged from the unit freezing. Prepare
as follows:
− Pour four litres of antifreeze in the tank.
− Turn on the pump and squeeze the trigger until
uid sprays.
• After removing from storage empty the antifreeze as
follows:
− Drain out the antifreeze into a suitable container.
− Fill the tank with fresh water and operate the
spray gun until the system is completely ushed
through. Ensure the ushed water is captured and
disposed of correctly.
