7. Operating Instructions
2. Turn the thermostat control dial clockwise to the
maximum position and allow the heater to heat the
space in order to set the desired ambient
temperature. The power LED (5) will illuminate when
the heater element begins to heat up.
3. When the desired temperature is reached, turn the
thermostat control dial anticlockwise until it “clicks”
and the power LED goes out.
4. The heater will automatically switch on and begin
heating when the ambient temperature drops below
the current setting.
Important: If the fan mode setting ( ) is selected on
the operation control dial (2), the thermostat control dial
must be set to its maximum position.
7.4 The Safety Tab
4 Fig.
(7)
The heater is equipped with a safety tab (7) for safe
adjustment when the heater is in use and to prevent the
heater from being directed towards the ground.
Important: The safety tab MUST NOT be removed or
bent out of position under any circumstances. DO NOT
use the heater if the safety tab has been compromised in
any way and contact Draper Tools for support.
7.5 Switching O the Heater After Use
Before switching o the heater, turn the operation
control dial (2) to the fan mode ( ) setting and turn
the thermostat control dial to its maximum position.
Allow the fan to blow for a few minutes to cool the heater
element before turning the thermostat control dial to its
lowest position, turning the operation control to the o
position and disconnecting the power supply.
7.6 Thermal Cut-Out
The heater is equipped with a safety device that cuts the
power to the heating element, which is activated when
the heater overheats. When this occurs, the heater must
be switched o, disconnected from the power supply and
left to cool for at least ten minutes.
Important: If overheating causes the heater to switch o
automatically, the cause of overheating MUST be
rectied before the product is used again. Possible
causes include covering of the inlet (1) and outlet (3)
grilles or the fan being positioned too close to a wall or
other object.
Once the heater has fully cooled and the problem has
been rectied, reconnect it to the power supply and
switch it back on again.
