Importing Images via the USB port
Images from other sources can be uploaded for processing and printing with the IDW520 system. Using the USB-4 port,
you can transfer images for printing -- connect either your camera via USB cable, or use a USB flash storage drive.
1. Make sure the IDW520 is working and that the main dashboard is displayed. If you are
transferring images from the camera via USB cable, make sure the camera is powered
ON.
2. Plug the USB drive or USB cable into the port on the side of the camera and into the USB-
4 port on the side of the console. After a few seconds, the IDW will recognize the external
storage device and begin to display a thumbnail of the images that can be selected.
3. The IDW520 will display only the first 16 images on the storage device. Any or all 16
images can be transferred at one time. Remove and reload the USB with other images to
print more from the external source.
4. When the images are displayed, tap the images you want to upload to select them. Then please the UPLOAD button
on the screen.
5. The images will be uploaded and processed for the selected template as if they were transferred from the IDW
camera.
NOTE:
An image size of 5k x 5k is the maximum pixel size accepted by the IDW520
Large file sizes will affect the processing speed of the IDW system. The Image Queue should be
cleared of the largest images to avoid slow processing of subsequent ID images.
