Turning ON the System
You must power ON the system in the following order:
1. Printer (wait for the ready light on the front of the printer before continuing).
2. IDW520 Console. The power button is on the right side (wait for the ID Photo application to appear and the Power
On Self Test (POST) print before continuing. To turn it on, press and hold in the power button for four (4) seconds;
when the red power light comes on, release the power button.
NOTE:
Be aware that if the date and time on the console are set prior to 2018, images will NOT be
transferred/printed. For instructions on setting the date and time, see “System Section” on
page 77.
3. Camera (when the IDW520 console beeps and displays a CAMERA CONNECTED message, the camera has been
recognized as connected to the network). It can take a minute for the system to recognize the camera.
NOTE:
If you hear a beep after starting the system, check the console for an error message. Typical error
messages are PRINTER NOT FOUND (verify the printer is ON and plugged into the IDW520
console) or MEDIA MISMATCH (either no media or the wrong media is loaded in the printer.)
