Annual Servicing
Please note that all DEWALT DXPGH2SB21 and DXPGB2WD21 respirators should be serviced
annually.

NOTE: Repair is only by replacement of defective parts in accordance with
manufacturer instruction.
Before Disassembly
Before disassembly or filter replacement, always clean contamination from the respirator in
accordance with the cleaning instructions on page 21.
Removing & Replacing the Face Seal
Removing the Face Seal and Brow Pad
Observe the position of the face seal, before removal, as this will assist in the fitting
procedure shown below.
Detach all press fasteners along with all hook and loop retainers (left and right). Remove the
brow pad, before releasing the face seal elastic ends from the headband hook tape (left and
right), referring to Figure 25.
Complete the face seal removal by pulling the rubber sealing strip out of the face seal
channel.
Replacing the Face Seal and Brow Pad
NOTE: The following instructions describe fitting the face seal with the respirator
upside-down, and in the open/raised position. (Figure 24)
With the face shield in the open position,
place the new face seal in the orientation
shown in Figure 24, with the grey side
facing upwards.
