Removing the Respirator
Do not remove the respirator until you have vacated the contaminated area.
1. Before taking the respirator off, loosen the quick release headband by rotating the ratchet
counter-clockwise.
2. Pull the face seal away from the chin to allow easy removal of the respirator.
3. Remove the respirator. Press the on/off switch shown in Figure 9, to switch the respirator
off.
4. If special decontamination procedures are required, take appropriate precautions and
place the respirator in a suitable sealed container.
5. Otherwise clean the respirator as indicated on page 21 after every use.
