2. Replace the two screws (M2x2) to secure the keyboard to the keyboard bracket.
3. Turn the keyboard bracket over.
4. Align and place the keyboard bracket on the palm-rest assembly.
5. Replace the 17 screws (M2x2) that secure the keyboard bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
6. Connect the keyboard-backlight cable to the connector on the touchpad and close the latch to secure the cable.
NOTE: The system board can be removed and installed with the heat sink to preserve the thermal bond.
NOTE: For the keyboard-backlight, the latch is the "white" portion of the connector.
7. Connect the keyboard cable to the connector on the touchpad and close the latch to secure the cable.
NOTE: For the keyboard, the latch is the "black" portion of the connector.
Next steps
1. Install the I/O board.
2. Install the system board.
NOTE: The system board can be removed and installed with the heat sink to preserve the thermal bond.
3. Install the display assembly.
4. Install the fan.
5. Install the 5G WWAN card.
6. Install the M.2 2230 or M.2 2280 SSD, as applicable.
7. Install the battery.
8. Install the base cover.
9. Install the SIM card (optional).
10. Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.

CAUTION: The information in this removal section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the SIM card (optional).
3. Remove the base cover.
4. Remove the battery.
5. Remove the M.2 2230 or M.2 2280 SSD, as applicable.
6. Remove the 5G WWAN card.
7. Remove the speaker.
8. Remove the fan.
9. Remove the USH-daughter board.
10. Remove the keyboard.
11. Remove the system board.
NOTE: The system board can be removed and installed with the heat sink to preserve the thermal bond.
12. Remove the I/O board.
13. Remove the power button with optional finger print reader.
14. Remove the smart card reader.
15. Remove the display assembly.
