Do not use the appliance for
heating closed tins and glass
jars. The pressure that would
build up in the tin/jar may cause
it to burst.
x Do not place any flammable
materials close to the appliance
as the sides may become hot
during use.
x Keep all ventilation slots clear
of obstructions.
x The appliance may be hot
when it is in use. Never touch
the hot burners, inner sections
of the oven, heaters etc.
x Make sure that the function
knobs are switched off after
every use.
x When using Gas, ensure that
the room is well ventilated.
x Ventilation is vital for the
efficient performance of all
appliances and for the safety of
the occupants of the room in
which the appliance is installed.
x Always keep children and infirm
persons away from the
appliance when it is in use.
x Only use the appliance for
preparing food.
x Use a deep pan, large enough
to cover the appropriate
burner.
x Always dry food thoroughly
before placing it in hot oil or fat.
Frozen food in particular will
spit and splatter if added too
quickly.
x Never fill the pan more than
one third full of fat or oil.
x Never heat fat or fry with a lid
on the pan.
x Do not fry too much food at
once. This lowers the
temperature of the oil or fat and
results in fatty foods.
x Do not leave hot fat or oil
unattended. If overheating
occurs, these could catch fire.
x Do not use or store
inflammable products (alcohol,
petrol, benzene etc.) near the
hob as these pose a fire risk.
x WARNING: If the surface is
cracked, switch off the
appliance to avoid the
possibility of electric shock.
x Sealing washers should be
correctly located and tested
in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
