6. Preparation for work
The device is part of the SAS+ALL line, so in order to use
it, you must complete a set, consisting of the device,
battery and charger. The use of other batteries and chargers is prohibited.
The preparatory steps described below should be
performed with the power source disconnected.
Before the first use, unfasten the safety clamps (fig. A, 1) and remove all
components from the tank. Check that the HEPA-type filter (fig. B, 11) is correctly
inserted and its locking knobs (fig. B, 12) are tightened. Check that the tank's water
overflow protection (fig. B, 13) is free of dirt, clogging, etc. Connect the flexible hose
(fig. A, 3) to the suction opening (fig. A, 8) so that the hose latch fits into the suction
opening (it should be facing up). Underneath the tank there are tip compartments
(Fig. A, 6, 7). Select the appropriate tip for the job and put it on the flexible hose.
Place the battery from the SAS+ALL line in the socket (Fig. A, 2). The device is
ready for operation.
7. Turning on the device
The device is powered by an 18V battery.
Slide the charged battery into the guide until the handle latch engages. The device
is ready for operation. Turn on the device with the switch (Fig. A, 3).
DED7174 only: The switch (Fig. A, 3) has 2 positions: "I" corresponds to operation
with reduced suction power, "II" is for operation with full power.
8. Use of the device
Holding the end of the flexible hose or the selected accessory, vacuum the selected
surfaces, avoiding blocking the airflow (clogging the working end). Avoid excessive
twisting and bending of the flexible hose. Adjust the working tip to the surface to be
cleaned. Use the extension cord supplied with the device to improve working
comfort.
Dry work
The vacuum cleaner is a bagless device, the dirt from the vacuumed surface
collects directly in the tank.
Wet work
During wet operation, regularly check the water level in the vacuum cleaner tank,
empty it regularly. If during wet operation the water level in the tank is too high and
the water seizes the ends of the water level protection (Fig. B, 13), the vacuum
cleaner will turn off automatically. Before resuming work in such a case, rinse the
filter (Fig. B, 11), dry it thoroughly and only then resume operation of the device.
Do not allow operation with a wet filter!
Blowdown operation
Make sure that the vacuum cleaner tank is empty and the filter is clean. Insert the
flexible hose (Figure A, 8) into the blowout hole (Figure A, 5). Turn on the vacuum
cleaner and point the end of the flexible hose in the desired direction.
9. Ongoing maintenance
Maintenance and cleaning of the vacuum cleaner
Regularly clean the entire device, paying special attention to cleaning the ventilation
holes of the device .
After each use, empty the vacuum cleaner tank, clean it and dry it thoroughly (if it
was used for wet work). Remove and clean the HEPA type filter. To do this, use a
fine, soft brush with which to pre-clean the HEPA-type filter. Then wash it under
cold running water (rinse, do not use detergents, solvents, etc.).
Filter cleaning
Unfasten the clamps (fig. A, 1) and remove the top cover of the vacuum cleaner.
Turn the 4 filter locking knobs (fig. B, 12) a quarter turn counterclockwise. Remove
the filter (Fig. B, 11) and rinse under cold running water. Do not use detergents,
solvents, etc. Before reattaching the filter, allow it to dry freely at room temperature.
For drying, do not use tanning machines, dryers, heaters, heaters, etc. Put the dried
filter back on, and turn the lock knobs a quarter turn clockwise.
The storage area of the device should be inaccessible to
children.
If you need to send the device to a service center for repair, protect it from
accidental mechanical damage and remove the batteries from the charger socket.
Never carry out maintenance work on a device connected
to a power source.
Slide the battery out of the device's socket before performing maintenance.
Maintenance of the device consists in keeping all its components necessary for
normal operation clean. Do not use any solvents for cleaning as this may cause
irreparable damage to the housing and other elements made of plastic.
Battery maintenance
Avoid charging the battery immediately after heavy use. Due to the characteristics
of the battery, do not store it completely discharged, as it may then discharge below
a critical level and become permanently damaged.
The battery must not be cleaned with water as this may cause an internal short
circuit leading to permanent damage.
So store the battery when not in use, partially charged (up to about 40%). Recharge
the battery before it is completely discharged. Store batteries at temperatures of
10-30°C. Stored at low temperatures, it loses capacity faster.
Battery charging is described in the instructions for the battery and charger from
the SAS+ALL line.
How to remove the battery
To remove the battery, press the release button on the front of the battery. Slide
the battery out of the socket. To install the battery pack, slide the battery pack into
the slot and then press down until the handle latch engages.
After each use
- Remove the battery pack from the socket to avoid accidental activation by
bystanders or during handling. Store the device with the battery disconnected.
Storage and transportation
When the device is not in use, store it unplugged from the power source, out of the
reach of children, in a dry and ventilated place. Transport the device and other
components listed in the set as far as possible in the original packaging, in a way
that does not expose them to harmful environmental conditions such as humidity,
precipitation, high temperature (above 40°C), pressure that may result in
mechanical damage and others that may adversely affect the package or its
contents.
