6. Preparing for use
All operations described in this chapter should be
carried out with the battery disconnected.
Preparing the unit for use:
1. remove the hoover from the packaging, remove the lid, remove the
contents from the hoover tank.
2. ensure that all the components of the appliance have been supplied in
accordance with the parts list (see the appliance manual for a list).
3. place the hoover tank on the base (fig. A, 6), fit the wheels by pressing
the metal pin into the socket hole on the underside.
Depending on the work to be carried out, perform the following steps:
- preparing the hoover for dry work:
1. place a paper bag on the pin protruding in the hoover tank
2. Place a fabric bag on top, making sure that the bag seal fits securely
into the hoover tank.
- preparing the hoover for wet work:
1. place a foam cover over the safety valve basket protruding from the
motor cover. Ensure that the cover fits tightly to the motor housing, smooth
out any unevenness that occurs.
The next steps are common to each type of use.
1. close the cover with the latches, making sure that the lower part of the
cover fits tightly against the hoover tank.
2. assemble the flexible suction hose by inserting it into the air inlet
opening located in the body of the hoover (fig. A, 3)
3. attach an extension tube to the other side of the flexible hose.
4. assemble a suitable suction nozzle onto the end of the tube.
The appliance is now ready for use.
7. Connecting to the mains
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, ensure that the
supply voltage corresponds to the value indicated on the rating plate.
The power supply installation should comply with the essential
requirements for electrical installations and meet the safety requirements
for use. The parameters for the minimum cross-section of the supply cable
and the nominal value of the fuse, depending on the power of the
appliance, are given in the table below:
Unit power [W]
Minimum conductor
cross-section [mm2]
Minimum fuse type C
[A]
700-1400

10
The installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. When
using extension cables, ensure that the conductor cross-section is not
smaller than required (see table). Arrange the electrical cable so that it is
not at risk of being cut during operation. Do not use damaged extension
cords. Periodically check the condition of the power supply cable. Do not
pull on the power cable.
8. Switching on the device
Before starting up the unit, it is essential to carry
out the steps described in the section ‘Preparing for
operation’.
There is an on/off switch on the lid of the hoover (Fig. A, 1). To switch on
the hoover, press the switch button into position I. To switch off the hoover,
press the switch button in the O position.
9. Operation of the device
When operating the device, all safety rules and
instructions described in the safety conditions
must be strictly observed..
The hoover is designed for use in domestic and commercial areas
(workshops, garages, etc.) The appliance is suitable for dry or wet
operation. The hoover is equipped with several types of brushes (Fig. D):
flat for cleaning larger floor areas, carpets: narrow for cleaning narrow
hard-to-reach areas (e.g. corners, crevices, etc.).
When cleaning wet dirt, please note that the machine is equipped with a
safety device that cuts off the suction of water into the motor. When
removing wet and damp dirt, equip the unit with a foam guard.
Blow-out function
Connect the flexible hose to the outlet socket. Switch on the hoover. Do
not direct air towards people or animals.
10. Ongoing maintenance
All maintenance must be carried out with the unit
unplugged.

appliance. Place the dust container (with the hoover lid removed) over a
bag or bin and dispose of the contents. When emptying the container of
dirty water, pour it down the drain.
Cleaning the filters
The fabric bag (filter) should be emptied and thoroughly shaken out. Rinse
the sponge filter under running water, allow to dry.
Storage
Store the cleaned, thoroughly dried hoover in the original box in a dry
place, out of the reach of children and bystanders.
Clean the entire power tool regularly, paying particular attention to
cleaning the ventilation openings of the power tool.
